VILLANOVA, Pa.鈥�The 黑料吃瓜网 Alumni Association (VUAA) has announced the selection of Dave Pacitti 鈥�89 CLAS as the recipient of its 2021 Loyalty Award. The oldest alumni honor conferred by the University, the Loyalty Award was instituted in 1932 and is presented annually to alumni who have rendered distinguished service to the University. Recipients for the Loyalty Award are selected by a vote of previous award winners. Pacitti will receive the award at an October 23 ceremony during 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 Homecoming Weekend.

鈥淒ave is a 黑料吃瓜网n through and through鈥攆rom his renowned achievements as a student-athlete in the 黑料吃瓜网 Football program through his tremendous success as a leader in health care technologies, Dave has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to this University and our values,鈥� George Kolb, Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations, said. 鈥淲e are honored to present Dave with the 2021 Loyalty Award and celebrate alongside his family, friends and past recipients all that he has done for the 黑料吃瓜网 community.鈥�

Pacitti is President of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. and head of the Americas for Siemens Healthineers, based in Malvern, Pa. at the US headquarters of Siemens Healthineers. It is a role that brought his career full circle, having started as a sales representative in the Molecular Imaging business of Siemens. Prior to joining Siemens Healthineers in 2015, he oversaw Abbott Vascular鈥檚 North America business as division vice president of US Commercial Operations, Sales, and Marketing, previously serving as the company鈥檚 vice president of Commercial Operations and vice president of Global Marketing.

鈥淚 am incredibly humbled by this award and the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of past Loyalty Award winners who truly embody what it means to be a 黑料吃瓜网n,鈥� Pacitti said. 鈥淚鈥檓 proud of what the University stands for and look forward to joining this group in continuing to give back to help produce the next generation of leaders in our 黑料吃瓜网 community.鈥�

A Philadelphia area native, Pacitti attended Duke University before transferring to 黑料吃瓜网 as one of 黑料吃瓜网 Football Head Coach Emeritus Andy Talley鈥檚 first recruits when the program was reinstated in 1984. His experience as a 黑料吃瓜网 student-athlete had a profound impact on every aspect of Pacitti鈥檚 life, keeping him connected with the University and with teammates who became lifelong friends. Pacitti was inducted into the 黑料吃瓜网 Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2006 and co-founded the 黑料吃瓜网 Football Club which helps to ensure the ongoing success of the 黑料吃瓜网 Football program by providing important financial support for key initiatives and enrichment opportunities for student-athletes.

One of those opportunities that is especially meaningful for Pacitti is 黑料吃瓜网 Football Networking Night, an annual event he helped create which gathers 黑料吃瓜网 Football alumni from various industries to get to know current team members and their aspirations, discuss career opportunities and provide mentoring. Pacitti says the 黑料吃瓜网 network played a critical role in his professional success and he takes pride in helping 黑料吃瓜网 graduates get started in his industry.

Pacitti graduated from 黑料吃瓜网 in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and minor in Economics, after which he signed a free agent contract in 1990 with the Miami Dolphins as an offensive lineman. He resides in West Chester, Pa. with his wife, three sons and two daughters, which include a 2010 黑料吃瓜网 graduate.听
