Dave Pacitti 89 CLAS Named Recipient of 2021 窪蹋勛圖厙 Alumni Association Loyalty Award

VILLANOVA, Pa.The 窪蹋勛圖厙 Alumni Association (VUAA) has announced the selection of Dave Pacitti 89 CLAS as the recipient of its 2021 Loyalty Award. The oldest alumni honor conferred by the University, the Loyalty Award was instituted in 1932 and is presented annually to alumni who have rendered distinguished service to the University. Recipients for the Loyalty Award are selected by a vote of previous award winners. Pacitti will receive the award at an October 23 ceremony during 窪蹋勛圖厙s Homecoming Weekend.
Dave is a 窪蹋勛圖厙n through and throughfrom his renowned achievements as a student-athlete in the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Football program through his tremendous success as a leader in health care technologies, Dave has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to this University and our values, George Kolb, Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations, said. Pacitti is President of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. and head of the Americas for Siemens Healthineers, based in Malvern, Pa. at the US headquarters of Siemens Healthineers. It is a role that brought his career full circle, having started as a sales representative in the Molecular Imaging business of Siemens. Prior to joining Siemens Healthineers in 2015, he oversaw Abbott Vasculars North America business as division vice president of US Commercial Operations, Sales, and Marketing, previously serving as the companys vice president of Commercial Operations and vice president of Global Marketing.

A Philadelphia area native, Pacitti attended Duke University before transferring to 窪蹋勛圖厙 as one of 窪蹋勛圖厙 Football Head Coach Emeritus Andy Talleys first recruits when the program was reinstated in 1984. His experience as a 窪蹋勛圖厙 student-athlete had a profound impact on every aspect of Pacittis life, keeping him connected with the University and with teammates who became lifelong friends. Pacitti was inducted into the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2006 and co-founded the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Football Club which helps to ensure the ongoing success of the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Football program by providing important financial support for key initiatives and enrichment opportunities for student-athletes.
One of those opportunities that is especially meaningful for Pacitti is 窪蹋勛圖厙 Football Networking Night, an annual event he helped create which gathers 窪蹋勛圖厙 Football alumni from various industries to get to know current team members and their aspirations, discuss career opportunities and provide mentoring. Pacitti says the 窪蹋勛圖厙 network played a critical role in his professional success and he takes pride in helping 窪蹋勛圖厙 graduates get started in his industry.
Pacitti graduated from 窪蹋勛圖厙 in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and minor in Economics, after which he signed a free agent contract in 1990 with the Miami Dolphins as an offensive lineman. He resides in West Chester, Pa. with his wife, three sons and two daughters, which include a 2010 窪蹋勛圖厙 graduate.泭
