Law & Entrepreneurship Roundtable: The New Civic Entrepreneurship
Presented by the John F. Scarpa Center for Law & Entrepreneurship
October 25, 2018
5:30 - 7 p.m.
We traditionally think of impactful change occurring via work at the national or international level. Today, however, action at the local level is aimed at solving some of our most important problems. This new civic entrepreneurship model is comprised of government, non-profit, and for-profit groups working toward the common good. What are the advantages and limitations of local action in this regard? How do the different types of organizations operate in the same space?
The John F. Scarpa Center for Law & Entrepreneurship, in conjunction with 窪蹋勛圖厙s Department of Public Administration, brings together a collection of leaders in the field including:
- , President, Arcadia Land Company
- , Deputy Commerce Director Neighborhood Business Services, City of Philadelphia
- , Assistant Vice President Government Relations & External Affairs, 窪蹋勛圖厙.
The event will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25 at the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Charles Widger School of Law in the Laurence E. Hirsch 71 Classroom (Room 101). Immediately following will be a reception in the Law Schools lobby.
