窪蹋勛圖厙 Named Top Producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for 16th Consecutive Year

VILLANOVA, Pa. (February 13, 2024)窪蹋勛圖厙 has been named a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for a 16th consecutive year, as recently announced by the U.S. Department of States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). The Fulbright Program is the U.S. governments flagship international educational exchange program and top-producing colleges and universities are highlighted annually in The Chronicle of Higher Education. 窪蹋勛圖厙 had 27 Fulbright recipients for the 2023-2024 academic year.

I am delighted that 窪蹋勛圖厙 once again has been named a top producer of Fulbright recipients, said University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD. 窪蹋勛圖厙s success year after year is the result of the tireless efforts of the Center for Research and Fellowships and our remarkable students who are using what they have learned at 窪蹋勛圖厙 to serve communities around the world. The Fulbright competition is administered at 窪蹋勛圖厙 through the Center for Research and Fellowships (CRF). In the current Fulbright application cycle, 33 of 窪蹋勛圖厙s 58 applicants have been named semi-finalists for the award and will be notified over the next three months if they are selected to go abroad during the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Fulbright Program was established in 1946 to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries and is the worlds largest and most diverse international educational exchange program. The primary source of funding for the Fulbright Program is an annual appropriation made by the U.S. Congress to the U.S. Department of States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.  

Since its inception, over 400,000 people from all backgroundsrecent university graduates, teachers, scientists and researchers, artists, and morehave participated in the Fulbright Program and returned to their home countries with an expanded worldview, a deep appreciation for their host country and its people, and a new network of colleagues and friends.

Fulbright is active in more than 160 countries worldwide and partners with participating governments, host institutions, corporations, and foundations in foreign countries and in the United States. Many of these organizations also provide direct and indirect support.
